Magnanimity - the Leadership Virtue

Alexandre Havard, Founder of the Havard Virtuous Leadership Institute

Alexandre Havard

Magnanimity, or as Aristotle calls it, “greatness of soul,” is an “adornment of the moral virtues; for it makes them greater, and it does not arise without them.” Is the ordinary man, he who is not called to extraordinar y feats, capable of magnanimity? Should he even aspire to be magnanimous? Come hear how the twenty-first century American male can and should apply Aristotle's greatness of soul to our daily routine.

The Leadership Forum was established twelve years ago by a group of downtown Boston professionals as a way to encourage men to live unity of life, integrating their faith into their professional, family and social lives.

The Leadership Forum takes its inspiration from the documents of the Second Vatican Council and from the writings of Popes Benedict XVI and John Paul II and of St. Josemaria Escriva, the Founder of Opus Dei. This talk is the first of the Leadership Forum’s twelfth season. To learn more, please visit our website:
